Happy Birthday

Party Time Tuesday put out such as basic challenge this week that I couldn't resist. The popular Anything Goes Birthday CARD- just remember to have that birthday greeting/sentiment on the front of your card to be qualify.
So, in playing around with some page kits from old swaps I came up with this card. By the way page kits are great for card making... in one baggie you already have 6x6 paper, ribbon, brads and more plus they're all already coordinated. All you need to do is add cardstock, adhesive and inspiration.

My Sketchy Thursday Entry

This is my first time entering a challenge....nervous about sharing my work but here it is
This layout is based on the sketchy Thursday layout for 7-29-10.

The picture is front a front stoop BBQ/ house party I attended a couple weeks ago at a friend of a friend's house. Had a good time and had great food. First and last time I ever tried bacon wrapped sausage.

My Wishlist

Thinking today about all the yummy goodies I want and thought I'd share a few

KI Memories Jet Set Kit... I love the pale blue/brown combination. This would be just perfect for my 2009 San Francisco pictures

Next up is the new DCWV Textures and Finishes that they're releasing at CHA 2010. I love textured paper. I can just picture the layouts and cards with this cardstock

Next is the Cricut Lit HandyMan cartridge. I'm about to move and between those pictures and ones from college this cart would come in handy. Plus I think it'd make some cute masculine cards.

This is the one DCWV pad from last year that I wanted that I still haven't brought. I admit it I'm a bit geeky and love the retro tech feel of this paper.

.

What are some of your wishes???

Bookmark Swap

I just finished hosting a bookmark swap for one of my yahoo groups and the work was all terrific. Take a look at the picture above to see everyone's hard work.

The theme was summer and I decided to make my bookmarks with an ocean theme. It was a great way to use up scraps so each bookmark is a little different. The one with the water background is my favorite.

Welcome

It took years but I've decided to finally give in and start a blog. So, welcome to the new home of Scrapping Galaxy.
